  I am an Angel in heaven now but I’m with you every step of the way. Take comfort in the fact that I’m safe and sound with the Lord. When you think of me just remember that I have my angel wings blowing in the breeze. Mommy and Daddy continue soaring like the Eagles. So grateful for the time I had with you until we meet again forever your guardian angel!! 

We made it through our struggles. We have kept on pushing. I am inspired, knowing that we had to go through what we did because we are better now having been through it. We may fall as one, but we stand as one Reach for the stars, keep your dreams alive. I want people to know, having been through what I have been through, anything is possible. We may fall as one, but we stand as one, because we are one!

  Lisa and Mary Hampton were two of the most outgoing individuals until their parents passed away in a car accident. The Hamptons were a tight knit family that experienced everything together from Graduations to Weddings. Lisa and Mary’s aunt Phillis lived in Alaska which meant a ton of family adventures together. One of Lisa and Mary’s favorite activities was Whale Watching. Family dinners were an essential part of longstanding traditions for the Hamptons. Photoshoots had been another Family tradition since 1972. Faith also played an enormous role in Lisa and Mary’s upbringing. After the tragic passing of their parents Lisa and Mary felt extremely lost. Mary and Lisa had a lot of built-up resentment towards God. Mary studied Nursing at Pepperdine University and Lisa studied Business at Howard University. One day as she was driving home from school, Mary had an emotional breakdown on the side of the road.   My Adoption is a huge Blessing. My Bed The Meal’s, I get to partake in by way of eating them. My Family The Roof over my head. The Clothes on my back! Historic Moments that I’ve been able to witness, such as the first Black president being sworn into Office. Also, The first Black Female Vice president of the United States of America! I Thank You, God for all these Blessings. You’ve given me.

 Be still and let God do the heavy lifting. We serve a God, who instructed the winds and waves to be still in the midst of a raging storm!   No matter what the puzzle, of life looks like in the moment know that God is our supernatural superglue. Regardless of trials or tribulations, never discount the power of worship. Surrender all to the alpha and omega! Watch God, exceed your wildest expectations. Get alone with God and relinquish what's his to carry.  

  Being a person with a Disability, people make a lot of assumptions. For example, I’ve been out to eat with my Family and the Waiter would ask my mom What will she have’’ as oppose to placing a Restaurant Menu in front of me allowing the decision to be mine. Mom and I had a conversation once she said to me You have three strikes against you your Black a Women and Disabled’’ My goal is to humanize this community and uplift us in a way that brings immense pride. The Disabled community has a lot to offer the world which is so easily discounted because of people’s ignorance as well as their lack of engagement with the community. I attended Thornwood High School, while there I took a Global Issues class my teacher told the class Go home read the article and We’ll talk about it tomorrow in class’’ The following day, my teacher asked the class Did anybody read the article? and I was able to provide context regarding the word amputation for my fellow classmates.
